VRGSize ver 5.2 Station Design and PRCV Control Valve Sizing Program

VRGSize is a convenient spreadsheet type application that provides useful tools for sizing and selection of VRG Controls PRCV Series control valves.  The program also allows the user to develop cursory design of complete natural gas regulator stations.  The program is a protected GUI macro-driven spreadsheet that runs within a MS Excel shell and requires the user to have a licensed version of MS Excel installed on their computer.

 

Features:

  • Size and select VRG Controls PRCV Pipeline Rotary Control Valves

  • Evaluate performance of PRCV including valve travel, Cv requirements, and estimated acoustic noise predictions

  • Perform semi-automatic sizing of control valves and piping utilizing “Auto Pipe Size” and “Auto Valve” Size features

  • Create cursory design of natural gas regulation facility with adjacent pipe selection, reducer/increase fitting selection, isolation block valve inclusion, and monitor inclusion

  • Evaluate implantation of VRG’s unique below ground control valve application performance for ultimate noise attenuation

  • Perform sophisticated split range control performance analysis for multiple parallel control runs

  • Document your work by saving data analysis for easy retrieval at future date.

  • Print resultant design output to printer or PDF output.  Requires PDF document generator to be installed.

 

Instructions:

 

STEP 1 - LOGIN OR SIGN UP FOR VRG SITE MEMBER SHIP

 

  • Download of VRGSize is restricted to authorized VRG site members.  Click LOGIN/SET UP Button below to request site access or login as a current member.  Requests for site access typically require 24 hours for approval.

 

STEP 2 - GO TO DOWNLOAD PAGE

  • Confirm that your computer has a recent licensed version of MS Excel installed.

  • Download “setup.exe” to your local drive on your computer.

  • Double click “setup.exe” to run setup program.  Total estimated disc space required 1.5 MB.

  • Setup.exe will install a copy of the file with default title “VRG Control Valve Sizing” and a VRG icon in the START menu folder.

  • A default option also creates a desktop shortcut as an MS Excel icon titled “VRG Control Valve Sizing.”

 

Requirements:

  • 64 bit Windows Operating System and recent licensed version of MS Excel.
